Pizzitola Squash courts
The third floor of the Pizzitola Sports Center houses the Kate Brodsky Memorial Squash Pavilion. A nationally ranked squash player while at Brown, Kate Brodsky '89Â passed away in her freshman year at the University.
The Pavilion named in her honor houses five international glass back squash courts, bleacher seating for up to 200 spectators, and individual court scoreboards. Brown University and the Brodsky Pavilion hosted the finals of the US Open in 1994 and 1995 - won by Peter Nicol and Jansher Khan respectively.
Rules
- There is no charge for Brown or RISD studentsÂ
- Courts are available on a first come - first serve basis to valid Brown recreation members and students
- All non-student users must be Recreational Pass Holders (see below)
- No Food or Drink (except for water) in the pavillion
- Only non-marking shoes (no black soles)
- All users must bring their Brown/RISD/ B-Fit Recreation ID and swipe in at the Racquet Sport Office (4th Floor)Â
- Users who fail to check in with the attendant will be logged and risk losing rights
- You must bring your own equipment
- Locker rooms are available in the Nelson Fitness Center
IMPORTANT: If you are found to be using marking shoes you will risk losing reservation rights. Please test your soles and sides of shoes ahead of time to assure they will not mark the court

Reservation InformationÂ
- Active Brown Recreation membership is required for usage of the Indoor Squash Courts.Â

- Memberships can be purchased online here.Â
- Each reservation for a Squash court is for a 1hr duration. There is no additional fee for reserving a squash court.Â
