Brown & RISD Students 
Welcome to Brown Recreation! Current Brown and RISD students have access to all Brown Recreation facilities and the following activities at no additional cost: Fitness Loft, Recreation Swim, the Indoor Track, Indoor Basketball Courts and the Indoor Tennis and Squash courts. Aquatic programs and Personal Training have separate fees. For facility access, students must present their student ID cards at the entrance of each facility. Family Members: Family members of Brown and RISD students are eligible for a Family membership. Please visit the Brown / RISD membership information page for additional details. 

Group Fitness 

The Group Fitness Program provides Recreation Members a wide variety of cardiovascular, strength and conditioning, dance, mind/body, and introductory classes with over 60 classes a week. The program is designed for all fitness levels to have fun and get fit. to participate, students must register for classes in  advance of the scheduled class time. Classes registration will become available 7 days in advance of the scheduled class time (Ex. Registration for a Wednesday 9am class opens on Wednesday at 9am of the previous week). The Group Fitness calendar can be viewed on our website here. All Brown students have Group Fitness access included in their student memberships. RISD students must have a Group Fitness membership in order to participate. Pricing and membership durations are as follows:

RISD Online Accounts: To access your online account for the first time, please follow the instructions below:

• Select "Sign In"
• Input your RISD email address and select "Next"
• Select "Trouble Signing In"
• Select "Reset Password"

Once this is completed, you will be sent a emailed link to reset your password. 

Valid ID information (Facility Access)

• All recreational members, must hold a valid ID. 
• Brown students/faculty/staff use their Brown ID Card. Please contact your respective University Card Office to replace damaged or lost ID cards.

Membership Terms & Details 

• Brown/RISD Family Members: Must be 17 years of age or older and related to a current Brown/RISD student, faculty or staff member.
