The Brown University Cheerleading Team kicked off the new year by making history— competing for the first time at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Competition (Nationals). UCA Nationals is the largest and most prestigious cheerleading competition at the collegiate level. The competition took place between Friday, January 12th - Sunday, January 14th at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.
The team competed in the Open All Girl Game Day division against 38 teams (the largest number of teams in this division to date). They qualified for prelims and hit their routine without any point deductions. The team proudly represented Brown University and looks forward to making this competition an annual tradition for future seasons.
