The Brown Men and Women's Club Squash teams claimed the 2025 College Squash Association Club Team Championships in Philadelphia, PA. This is the Men's third national title in as many years and for the Women its the program's second title in three years. The event took place from February 14 to 16 at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center. With 56 club teams from across the country participating, this was the largest Club Team Championships to date.
The Men's team started their campaign against NYU in dominant fashion with a 9-0 win to set up a semifinal match with Stanford. A strong start had Brown up 2/1 after the first round of matches. A dominant round two secured Bruno a tie going 5-1 up courtesy of wins from Griffin Taylor, Tim Cassidy and
Euan Luke. The tie finished 7-2 Brown to set up a final with Ivy foe Columbia. In Round 1, Luke put in another dominant performance at #5 and Jacob Robinson squeezing his match courtesy of a tiebreaker in the 4th, saving multiple game balls, but it was Tim Cassidy who put in a huge performance beating the higher rated opponent in 4 games to get the Bears off to a perfect start. Bruno's #1 Harrison Yang was far too strong on this day for his opponent with Fish to get Brown to the magic number. The match ended 7-2 in a favor of Brown clinching the title.
The Women's team route to the final was very different. First up was NYU. At 1 match a piece Hayden Rains found herself tied at 1 game all but trailing 8/1 in the 3rd. Rains kept her composure, put some good rallies together eventually snatching the game 11/9. This proved to be a pivotal moment in the match with wins from Saisha Gupta, Alexis Dhalberg & captain Anna Hurd getting the Bears over the line in a super competitive match 5/4 and with it a tie to play Washington for a place in the final. Again, a familiar pattern with the pendulum swinging back and forth & led the match to go the distance to 4/4 and down to the #1s. Freshman Bella Bins' clinical performance was too much for her opponent and Brown was back in the championship match where we were to meet UCLA. A great start had wins across the board and a 3/0 start courtesy of Annie O Connor, Sarah Kim and Maya Katzive. More wins followed in round two with Hurd and Rains getting the 5th match on the scoreboard to secure the championship. Last up, captain Zoya Uni came back from 2 games down to win in 5 for what was her last college squash match and the score was a 8-1 win for Brown.
