Women's Soccer

About us!

We are a community of athletes who are passionate about soccer and want to play semi-competitively. This team provides a great way to balance school and sports, as well as a fun way to exercise and build relationships with people who share a love for the beautiful game. We are entirely student run, with a team of three upperclassmen captains that will be leading the program in the 2019-2020 school year (Kiki, Rhian, and Kiley).

Level of Play: Our players have a wide variety of soccer experience, but most have experience playing soccer in middle or high school. Many of our players played competitively at one time but took time off for injuries or other reasons and are returning to the sport. To join the team, we hold tryouts twice a year in the fall and spring semesters. Tryouts are the first weekend after school starts in the fall, and in mid-March, generally.

Logistical Information: We consider our team to be competitive, but we understand that school comes first in terms of the commitment that we expect.  Our main season is in the fall, and we compete in a regional division against other nearby college and university club teams. We practice twice a week for 1.5-2 hours in the evenings, and play 8-10 games in the fall, until mid-November. We train indoors in the winter and workout as a team, and then play a few games in the spring as it warms up. We ask that players commit to at least one practice a week, and participation is free! We also host team dinners and other bonding activities throughout the year.

If you have any questions or would like to be added to an email list to be notified when tryouts will be held, please email us at bwcsoccer@gmail.com.

We appreciate your interest and hope to see you on the soccer field!
